An Ode to 10/10/10 10:10 BST

Ryan and I read an article about a boy born 10 years ago on October 10th at 10:10 BST. Yesterday, on October 10, 2010 at 10:10 in Leicester, UK, the boy turned 10 years old.
10/10/10 10:10 10 years 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
My favorite quote is from the boy, George:
“I have been waiting for today for years and now it is here it is amazing.”
I love George. I love his mom, too, who said: “I couldn’t believe it when the midwife wrote the time and date on his sheet–we have been waiting for this day. He was born at a special time and has been special ever since.”
What I like about this story is how excited everyone is. Even the friends, who didn’t believe the boy “until all the attention started to happen and then they were just ‘Wow’!”
Wow: the entire universe–the spinning of the earth, the rotating around the sun, the mom and the dad, the conception!, the contractions, the labor, the midwife who showed up just in time, the big and the little hands of a clock–all preparing for the birth of George who had a 99.9% chance of being born unhealthy, but who was born healthy and is now celebrating his 10th birthday on 10/10/10 at 10:10.
I kinda believe it.
