“DIR CATA”

In my last post, Kristi brought up a very good point in her comment: I have not married a rhyming Santa, I have married a rhyming CATA.

Here is a word for word typed version of a Christmas letter Ryan sent to Santa (“Cata”) when he was almost 7 years old:

11-29-1994

DIR CATA I WOT A DOG AND A HOKYGAME AND I WOT SUM VIDEO I RILY RILY WOT A PIGYBAKE AND ALSO I WOT A BASEBALL GLUF AND FOR TIKITS AND I WOT A FOOTEBALL AND A NOO LUSHPAL AND SUM MIDYMAKS AND THE LIYINCING VIDEO AND SUM GRAONS AND A REMOTE CONTROL RAEFC CAR AND A BASKITBALL SID BY MIKLJAKSIN AND I WOT SUM YIKS AND A FON AND A BOOK AND SUM GAMBS FOR MY SAGA AND A HOKY PUCK AND SUM PAKS OF CORS

Winner goes to whoever can type up the best translation.

  1. Dear Santa
I want a dog and a hockey game and I want some videos. I really really want a piggy bank and I also want a baseball glove and four tickets and I want a football and a new lunch pale and some mighty ducks and the lion king video and some crayons and a remote control race car and a basketball, a cd by michael jackson and I want some licks and a phone and a book and some games for my sega and a hockey puck and some packs of course.

    1. Melissa, this is VERY good. But not yet perfect.

Review YIKS and SUM PAKS OF CORS.

(Ps. Stuart is not in at work today, I’ll let you know about your article if I see him tomorrow.)

  2. BEST PART: the last sentence makes it look like little seven-year old ryan wants some packs of COORS from old saint nick. you know, for when grandma t wants to pull out santa bingo and you need just a little buzz to get you through.

  3. From Brady:
